The National Contact Point ERC (NCP ERC) organises interview trainings for the ERC Starting Grants 2023. The NCP ERC will provide trainings for applicants of all three domains (PE, LS and SSH).

1. General Information Webinar (Part I)

There will be a general information webinar for all candidates. Here, a professional coach will provide general tips and guidelines for the online interview process. In addition, the NCP ERC will offer information on the state of evaluation and statistical basics. After a practical report from a successful grantee, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. The number of participants for the general training is not limited. There will be two general information webinars of 1,5 hours each:

  • 24 April 2023, 10:00 a.m.
  • 27 April 2023, 10:00 a.m.

2. Individual coaching (Part II, limited number of participants)

Individual coaching in small groups is also offered. In a virtual mock panel, the interview situation is rehearsed with the participants. The candidates give their presentation based on their individual panel specifications. This is immediately followed by a short question-and-answer session on the content of the presentation. This is followed by general feedback from the coach, the NCP ERC and the participants. This procedure simulates the interview conditions.

The number of participants is limited to 6 persons per training. This part will take about 4 hours. Previous participation in one of the online information events is a prerequisite for participation.

If you already have access to individual coaching elsewhere, we kindly ask you to make use of this possibility and to keep the NCP ERC training free for colleagues who do not have this opportunity.

All trainings are conducted online and in English. Participation in the trainings is free of charge.

Registration will soon be possible via the links on this page. We will inform you about the activation in time via our ERC newsletter. Please register promptly after the registration opens, as there is usually a lot of interest in the trainings and they book up very quickly.
