Applications may be submitted each year once calls for proposals have been published. Researchers or Principal Investigators (PIs) must submit their applications in cooperation with a host institution (HI). The application must be submitted online via the Funding & Tenders Portal.
As part of our free service, we offer feedback (only once) on ERC-specific requirements of your draft application. Please send us the relevant documents by 17:00 on the respective deadline:
Before submitting a draft proposal to the National Contact Point (NCP) ERC, we kindly ask you to first have it reviewed internally by the EU office of your institution and to inform the NCP ERC accordingly in order to ensure optimal coordination between the advisory structures.
Applications are treated in the order in which they are received. Should the level of demand exceed our capacity, we may not be able to provide feedback on the last proposals submitted. In such a case, we will inform you as soon as possible.
The deadline for submission for Starting Grants (StG) 2027 is 14 October 2026.
Opening Date: 22. July 2026 (Subject to the adoption of Work Programme 2027)
The planned publication of the 2027 work programme is scheduled for mid-July 2026.
The deadline for submission for Consolidator Grants (CoG) Call 2027 is 12 January 2027 - 17.00 Brussels time.
Opening Date: 24. September 2026 (Subject to the adoption of Work Programme 2027)
The deadline for submission for Advanced Grant (AdG) Call 2026 is 27 August 2026.
ERC-2025-ADG call should open 28 May 2026.
The deadline for submission for Synergy Grant (SyG) Call 2027 is 11 May 2027.
Opening Date: 17 February 2027 (Subject to th adoption of Work Programm 2027)
The deadline for submission for ERC Plus Grant (Plus) is 2 September 2026
Opening Date: 2 June 2026
As usual, the current templates for the application will be available as soon as the call has been opened.
ERC-2026-PoC call opened on 20 January 2026 and has two cut-of-dates: 17 March 2026 and 17 September 2026.
