The Synergies Dialogue Managing Office is part of the Federal Ministry of Research and Education’s EU Bureau. It was founded in 2014 and has been supporting the Synergies Dialogue ever since. The office sees itself as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and for networking and is the first point of contact for anyone interested in

  • dealing with synergies for the first time,
  • networking,
  • sharing their experiences or
  • learning from others.

We design integrated information services on synergies in cooperation with the German network of Horizon Europe National Contact Points. We develop approaches to improve strategic programme planning and the implementation of synergies in addition to the preparation of practical examples.

The website www.EU-Synergien.de is our central, publicly accessible information tool. Here we provide basic information about opportunities for synergies, practical examples as well as to key advice centres, stakeholders and to European initiatives in research and innovation.

Networking and continuous communication at national, regional and European level ensure the quality and topicality of the dialogue, especially with the German federal and state departments responsible for research and structural policy as well as the general directorates for research and innovation and for EU regional policy.

By continually monitoring the research and regional policy environment we are able to provide the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with expert reports and to support the conception and implementation of national funding measures which strengthen the performance of the European Research Area.
