The ERC’s upcoming 2027 work programme (with first calls to be launched in July 2026) will see several changes regarding eligibility and resubmission.
The ERC’s upcoming 2027 work programme (with first calls to be launched in July 2026) will see several changes regarding eligibility and resubmission. Main changes include enlarged eligibility windows for Starting and Consolidator Grants, a limitation of holding just one grant per scheme (for Starting or Consolidator Grant only) overall – and increased blocking periods for reapplicants. With these measures, the ERC Scientific Council aims to better manage a continued increase of applications. Please note that all information is still subject to the formal adoption of the 2027 ERC work programme.
