Is your research institution or project interested in hosting a science journalist? This is possible through the FRONTIERS Residency Programme funded by the European Research Council (ERC). FRONTIERS fellowships support journalists who wish to cover frontier science topics from within research institutions in EU Member States or countries associated with the Horizon Europe Programme.
As an interested institution, you can join the FRONTIERS Database. The database is a starting point for applicants when identifying a host institution.
The current call for applications — open until 6 May 2025 — targets early-career science journalists (with up to five years of experience) and supports residencies of 3 to 5 months. Fellows are invited to work in close collaboration with scientists to produce in-depth, independent reporting on frontier research.
