Proof of Concept (PoC) 2023 – results of the second cut-off

The results of the second deadline of the Proof of Concept call 2023 are available. Out of the 183 evaluated proposals, 66 are earmarked for funding. The successful applicants are distributed across 14 countries. Nine PoC grants went to researchers based at institutions in Germany. Only researchers in Spain received more PoC grants at this cut-off (12). Applicants from the UK (8), Italy (7) and France (6) were also very successful. ERC grantees who wish to explore the innovation potential of their ERC results over a period of 12 months with a lump sum of €150,000 can apply for a PoC. The next and last deadline for the ERC PoC 2023 is 21 September 2023.

From the ERC Work Programme 2024 onwards, there will only be two deadlines per year.
