On 23 February, ERCEA sent out a communication to the ERC Proof of Concept (PoC) grantees funded since 2017, informing them about funding opportunities in the European Innovation Council (EIC) 2023 work programme.

The focus was put on PoC grants falling around the eligibility window to apply for the 2023 EIC Transition calls. The EIC Transition grants up to 2.5 million euro to validate and demonstrate technology in an application-relevant environment (Technology Readiness Levels 4 to 5/6) and foster the development of market readiness. Application is restricted mainly to results generated by EIC Pathfinder and ERC PoC projects. Eligible PoC Grantees are regularly informed about current EIC Transition deadlines.

There are two cut-off dates in 2023: 12 April 2023 and 27 September 2023.

The EIC has also published a list of all projects whose output is potentially eligible for exploitation in the EIC Transition 2023 call.
