In 2021, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) launched a workshop series on the gender dimension in research . The workshop series aims to support the implementation of gender equality in research and innovation in Europe and to inspire researchers and research managers to address gender issues in their projects.

Next workshops

The next workshop in the series will take place on 25 June 2024 – as always in online format, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. CEST. The workshop "Civil security for everyone – Sex and Gender in Research on Civil Security" will give an overview of gender aspects in Horizon Europe, then present some project examples from this field of research, thus making it more concrete what "gender dimension in research" may mean in civil security research. The event ends with presenting possible next steps on the way to handing in a proposal for a civil security research project in Horizon Europe. The workshop is organized in close cooperation with the NCP Security. Registration for the event is open until 24 June 2024.
