According to these figures, 1,829 applications have been submitted. This is an increase of 11 percent compared to the 2022 call (1,647 submissions). Most applications were submitted in the domain Physical Sciences and Engineering (792), followed by Social Sciences and Humanities (528) and Life Sciences (509).
Female scientists submitted 24.6 percent of the applications (2022 call: 23 percent).
For the AdG 2023, 597 million euro are earmarked for an estimated 246 grants. Final results are expected to be announced in Spring 2024.
