A total of 3,458 proposals were submitted for the ERC Advanced Grant 2026 call, which closed on 27 August 2026. The highest number of proposals was submitted in the Physical Sciences and Engineering (PE) domain, with 1,439 proposals, followed by Life Sciences (LS) with 1,033 and Social Sciences and Humanities (SH) with 986 proposals. This represents an increase of 3.9% compared to last year and 37% compared to the year before.
