On 23 June, the ERC has published the results of the Advanced Grant Call 2025. A record of 3,329 proposals had been submitted – 31 percent more than in 2024 (2534). Almost 10 percent of the proposals could be funded. In total, 319 Advanced Grants have been awarded with a total budget of 838 million euros. The grantees will carry out their projects at host institutions in 24 European countries, e.g. in the United Kingdom (62 Grants), Germany (46), Switzerland (32), Spain (29) and France (26). The winners come from all over the world, with 33 nationalities represented, notably Germans (52 researchers), Britons (45) and Italians (29).
