Phillippe Aghion, funded by the ERC with two grants, has been awarded the "2025 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel" together with Joel Mokyr and Peter Howitt "for having explained innovation-driven economic growth". He is the fifteenth ERC grantee to have won a Nobel Prize.
