The ERC has published first figures on proposal submissions to the ERC Consolidator Grant call 2024 (deadline 12 December 2023). According to these figures, 2,313 applications have been submitted. This is an increase of 8,6 percent compared to the 2023 call (2,130 submissions). Most applications were submitted in the domain Physical Sciences and Engineering (933), followed by Social Sciences and Humanities (730) and Life Sciences (650). Female scientists submitted 38.9 percent of the applications (2023 call: 35.7 percent). For the Consolidator Grants 2024, 584 million euro are earmarked for an estimated 291 grants. The selected projects are expected to be announced in December 2024.
