On 6 November, the European Commission has appointed Professor Torsten Persson, a distinguished economist, as new member of the ERC governing body, the Scientific Council. Current member Professor Gerd Gigerenzer has been elected as new ERC Vice President for Social Science and Humanities. Both will take up their new roles on 1 January 2024.
