Two call openings: Starting Grants 2023 and Synergy Grants 2023

With the publication of the ERC Work Programme 2023, two calls were opened:

1. Applications for the Starting Grant Call 2023 can be submitted from 12 July 2022 to 25 October 2022. Starting Grants are aimed at early career researchers with a doctorate who wish to pursue their scientific independence and establish their own research group. With a planned budget of 628 million euros 407 projects are to be funded.
2. The call for proposals for Synergy Grants is open from 13 July 2022 to 8 November 2022. Synergy Grant Groups consisting of two to four outstanding researchers and their teams are invited to apply. A budget of 300 million euros will be made available for 30 projects.

The ERC NCP will be happy to answer your questions, advise you and proof-read applications. Please note the following binding deadlines for submitting applications for proof-reading:

4 October (5 p.m.) for Starting Grant applications, and

18 October 2022 (5 p.m.) for Synergy Grant applications.
